CCTB Sunday night update
8-18-24
Hi all,
Hope your week has been good. I just got back late last night from the Bryce Valley Rally in Panguitch. It was good to see some of our club members supporting this rally. As for me, I had a blast leading 2 days, assisting with one, and getting our 50″ Bull Rush ride cancelled due to weather.
One of our rides we rode to Circleville for lunch at Butch Cassidy’s Hideout. One of the top 3 BLT’s of my life was on the menu, followed by this Bavarian Cream turnover that was out of this world. Another ride we went up to Mt. Dutton. I finally got to see the place where you literally have a 360 view from Fishlake, to Tushar’s, to Brian Head Peak, to Panguitch Lake, to the Boulder Mountains to the Grand Staircase. All by just turning around where you stand. Followed by lunch and an incredible pie at the Antimony Merc.
Next up is the Rocky Mountain Jamboree. Can’t wait to do some 50″ rides and the Koosharem Cafe.
Thank you to all who have been out pre-riding for the Color Country Jamboree. Keep getting out there. With some of the rain lately, there is the possibility of trail damage and Charlie will need to know about it sooner rather than later.
And thank you to those that attended the lunch on Friday. Be on the lookout for the next one.
Upcoming events…..
Thursday, Aug 22nd for those that have RSVP’d and paid, we have our Dinner at Woods Ranch. Come prepared to play a little Cornhole as well.
Friday and Saturday Aug 23-24th is the ride in Panguitch. If you are attending, please make sure to read the posts from Charlie regarding meals.
Monday Sept 2 is the Iron County Faire Parade. Please let Charlie know if you plan on riding in the parade.
And lastly, we received an email from the family of one of our members.
“Thank you for the newsletters. John Pitkin has enjoyed them, although he has not been able
to participate for a long time. John has many medical issues and has been in a care center for a while.
I’m sure he would love to have well wishes if anyone might want to send a card.”
He is at : Ivins Care Center
160 N 200 E
Ivins, Utah 84738
Room 912
Let’s be safe out there and see you on the trails.
