Hi all,
We hope you have had a great weekend.
It was awesome to see so many pictures of the Iron Off Road Rally. It looks like everyone had a great time. It was also nice to see so many club members helping out. Keep the pictures rolling in.
A couple of updates…
First, I regretfully need to cancel the Moonlight ride this Friday the 21st. Due to some personal reasons, I will not be able to lead this ride. We will look at the next full moon weekend in the coming months to see if we can do this at that time.
Second, we have our club meeting this Thursday at 6pm in the Senior Center. Please plan on attending so we can talk rides, jamborees, and we are anticipating the Public Information Officer for the Cedar City office of the BLM. I encourage you to come with questions, but I would also encourage everyone to realize that the person coming does not have control over the BLM or the choices the BLM is making. It will however be a great opportunity for the BLM to hear our side and to hear our thoughts and feelings.
Third, the Prime Rib Ride is still a go. The plan is to meet at the Paragonah Cemetery with a leave time from that location as close to 315pm as humanly possible. This ride is open to all machines and ride levels and rated easy. We will make 3 stops on the way there and no stops on the way back. Please bring a chair as there is a real possibility they will not have enough seating for everyone. This will be outside dining. Now if the weather turns rainy, we will re-assess.
Upon arrival at the cemetery, you will need to let me know if you want a prime rib plate, or if you will order off the regular Burger Barn menu or if you will do something else. I will have the price for the Prime Rib meal in advance and will post it. Also, I am hopeful to have the other menu as well with prices. They do take cards.
Fourth, the Paiute Trail ride is still a go for July 5th and 6th. We will have more details the week before as we narrow down the trails we will be taking based upon when the forest service opens the top. This will be open to all machines and rated easy in most areas, intermediate in others and advanced in others. There will be some blacktop that cannot be avoided no matter how much I want to.
Thank you for everything and see you on the trails.
